For our National Day Dinner, Chef Giovanni Speciale will present us with a sumptuous dinner created with the freshest produce to reflect the seasonality and current food trends.
We begin our dinner with a champagne from Henri Abele. This is followed by a Riesling from
Van Volxem. Henschke Abbott’s Prayer and Penfolds bin 389 follows before we move on to a pair
Of Clarendon Hills Astralis: 2004 and 2005, to accompany our main course.
Our dessert will be paired with Dow’s Vintage Port to round off a great evening of dining.
With the support of our members, we hope to conduct another successful Wine Charity Auction.
This National Day, we target to raise funds to benefit The Singapore Cheshire Home. This is a home for the care of the seriously disabled whom have no or limited means and whose families, if any, are unable to provide adequate care. The Cheshire Home provides care, rehabilitation, encouragement, stimulation and happiness to its residents and clients, all of whom are seriously disabled adults of both sexes and of various races and creeds, and to give them the chance to live as near-normal lives as possible.
We hope that our generous members will donate wines for the auction and bid aggressively to help our needy fellow Singaporeans.
