                                                y Toro S.A., sealed a partnership
agreement with a view to create
                                                an exceptional Franco-Chilean
                                                wine called Almaviva.

                                                Almaviva, located in the Maipo
                                                Valley, produces approximately
                                                15,000 cases a year of a consistently
                                                outstanding blend of Cabernet
                                                Sauvignon and Carmenère
                                                from Puente Alto. Almaviva is
the result of a joint venture
                                                between two wine stalwarts –
Viña Concha y Toro in Chile
                                                and Baron Philippe de Rothschild
                                                of Bordeaux, France. Both founders
were convinced that a world class
wine could be made in Chile, so
                                                they acquired a vineyard called
                                                Puente Alto. Forty hectares of
                                                this over 20-year-old vineyard
                                                were reserved for the production
                                                of grapes to make Almaviva.

                                                A felicitous encounter between
two cultures - Chile offers its
soil, its climate and its vineyards,
                                                while France contributes its winemaking
                                                savoir-faire and traditions; the
                                                result is an exceptionally elegant
                                                and complex wine. Considered a

                                                Almaviva is the only non-Bordeaux
wine to be handled by the famed
                                                French negotiants and marketed
                                                by them alongside grand châteaux
